“Pane e Salame dei Fratelli Lattanzi” has an ancient history, made of flavours, aromas and tradition
The first shop in Rome opened in 1992 as a bakery, delicatessen, pizzeria, and delicatessen.
But the roots of the business go deeper, into the tradition of the Lattanzi family, originally from Gioppiedi, a hamlet of Cascia in Umbria, and precisely when many years ago father Ivo, a pork butcher for generations, decided to follow in his father's footsteps in Rome and open a shop.
The family story continues with the children who grew up in the family business, with its first historic bakery on Via Trionfale in Rome's Montemario neighborhood. Pane e Salame soon became a delicatessen as well. It's here that the tradition continues today, with Marco and Maurizio expertly carrying on the bread-making, with the oven churning out fresh bread, rolls, pizza, cookies, cakes, and pies from the crack of dawn.
Our customers can also delight their palates with all the specialties of pork butchers and cured meats to accompany their fragrant bread, as well as do their shopping by choosing from a wide range of quality items.
And for those who can't or don't want to leave home, we offer free home delivery.
“Pane e Salame 2” was opened in Via di Torrevecchia in 2002, where the now renowned gastronomic creations were joined first by a pastry shop and then, much more recently, a bistro and café.
Family tradition, quality, and taste are reflected in the expanded and renovated restaurant, which features a spacious outdoor area with shaded tables and a planted gazebo.
